Character Development

Character Development is integral at Haslam Park. Our school thrives to promote the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development of each pupil from the moment they enter and prepare them for opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. We foster the importance of good mental health and well-being among our children so that they can fulfill their potential in school and in adult life. We actively promote good behaviour and character traits which is at the heart of our school values. These values include: Growth, Learning,  Resilience, Compassion , Ambition, Equity, Inclusivity, Exploration and Honesty.

Our children take part in a wide range of experiences in and out of school that promote character development. Here are just a few of our events: Fair Trade week, Children in Need, Race for Life Mental Health Awareness Week, World Autism Day, Hello Yellow, Odd socks day, Community Visits, Jeans for Genes Day, Recycle Week and all of our wonderful religious celebration days
